Junior IT Support & Security Specialist

Role Summary / Purpose:


We are seeking a Junior IT Support & Security Specialist to join our IT team. This role involves providing first-level technical support for users, managing accounts and access control, provisioning endpoints, and supporting IT infrastructure such as CCTV, WiFi, internet, and backup systems. Additionally, the role includes monitoring and performing basic configurations of IT security tools such as antivirus, VPN, EDR, and DLP. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated recent graduate with 1–3 years of experience seeking to build a career in IT operations and cybersecurity.


Essential Responsibilities:


  • Provide helpdesk support for user accounts, identity management, and endpoint setup.

  • Maintain access control systems, backup software, internet connectivity, CCTV, and WiFi services.

  • Assist in monitoring and basic configuration of security tools including antivirus, EDR, DLP, and VPN.

  • Support incident response activities and help investigate minor security events.

  • Ensure proper documentation and escalation of issues to senior IT staff when required.

  • Assist in maintaining IT asset inventory, including tagging and tracking hardware and software.

  • Support the onboarding and offboarding of employees by provisioning and deactivating access to systems.

  • Monitor and escalate system alerts, email quarantine, and security notifications.

  • Assist with patch management by coordinating updates and security patches for endpoints.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure IT support aligns with operational needs.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting for software installations, printer/network access, and email configuration.


Qualifications / Requirements:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years in a similar IT support or junior security role. Fresh graduates with strong internship or academic project exposure are welcome.

  • Understanding of user provisioning, account setup, and endpoint deployment.

  • Basic knowledge of networking, internet services, and access management.

  • Exposure to IT security tools such as antivirus, VPN, EDR, and DLP.

  • Familiarity with cloud environments (Microsoft Azure, AWS) is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).

  • Exposure to Active Directory or Azure AD user management.

  • Experience with remote desktop tools (e.g., AnyDesk, TeamViewer, RDP).

  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

  • Proactive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn.

  • Industry certifications in IT or cybersecurity are preferred but not mandatory.
